Having a strong belief in skill sharing I am starting to offer the service of jewellery workshops. These are ideal for Hen Parties, Birthday Parties, Evening Courses and festivities. The workshops will teach participants how to create their own Little Glass Clementine Bespoke Necklaces using upcycled material and creating wearable visual poetry.

I will bring a large collection of jewellery, organic matter, tools and wire in old fashioned suitcases in true Mary Popins style. Using the unique technique that I use for Little Glass Clementine I will teach the group how to weave with wire and create sculptural jewellery or adornments tailored to their need and wish.

The participants are invited to bring their own treasure, memorabilia, jewellery or trinkets. They will be encouraged to talk about what they brought and explain their reason for its value. Be it a ring from a love affair, a pebble from a beautiful walk on the shore, a button your grandmother’s box, a brooch encrusted in gems or a single earring.

These workshop are always incredibly fun and participants always surpass what they believe to be possible and feel very happy to be turning junk into jewels!!

Sometimes I get to do a piece like the one below for a client where all the little bits of treasure are wrapped in an invisable film of love and importance. The pieces conjure memories and moments that are deeply personal and often moving to the individual.

It is a very touching process and an honour to work with material that is held so highly. Sometimes I feel like a apothecarist making up a wearable potion!!

A lovely comment: “This is a testament to the things and people I love and more specifically the nurturing influence of so many people- from my mother who is so strongly represented here (love where you’ve placed the red clip on earring!) To past boyfriends who have really given to me.

And I love the mirror of the turquoise above and below and the generous scattering of blue through it all. I keep seeing different things – but really me together. It’s such a visually intense and strong picture of me and my taste. Can’t quite believe in a few weeks you’ve put me together in a way I have been trying to do for years.

Thank you for sharing your talent in this way and making such a sculpturally unique and eclectically strong and personal living art piece for me’

“I have an antique and vintage textile business, and display special items of antique costume on hand made mannequins. I wanted a spectacular necklace that harked back to the Victorian and Edwardian origins of the costumes, but had a contemporary twist. After seeing Clementine’s work at the Milan Fashion Week, I raided my grandmother’s old sewing and jewellery boxes and asked her to source other interesting pieces, which she then transformed into this stunning necklace. It combines antique buttons, chandelier crystals, a tiny porcelain doll’s head, watch faces, Victorian brooches and rings, a silver spoon, looped gold chains and a host of other delights. It is fabulous!”

A very kind comment from my patron.

‘Nothing can be more personal than a gift that you have had specially made as a one off item that reflects the personality and tastes of the person for whom the gift is intended. That is exactly what Clementine achieved when she made this necklace for my wife Andromeda’s birthday. Not so much a gift as an heirloom!’
